Support Forum
Ok, will do.
I forgot to mention, we are not having SP load problems... I was referring to all the other plugins. Truthfully, it's not all of them, just most.
This is what I can see in Admin when a page is loading, but once loaded it also goes to http://:
Where would it be calling 'Wordpress' from?
It appears that open graph is conflicting with your simplepress meta title and descriptions. Not sure where the open graph is coming from but it should match the meta description.
Viewing your sites terms of sale forum post i see your og description is pointing to the switch lang link.
Further down simple press meta description is visible and correct.
I'm thinking your theme may be adding the open graph which is conflicting with simplepress meta tags.
Steve (Mr Papa) has added open graph support to the next release that should cure this.
Feel free to browse my sites source code to see how i have sp working good. On the topic page i only feed the post meta title and description to search bots. It has worked well even social sharing my Trump collection.
Best Wishes.

Thanks for all the helpful input FidoSysop. It is appreciated.
I remain suspicious of other plugins or the WP theme. In the original post on this thread it was said that the browsers title appears correct during forum page load but upon completion it is suddenly changed. That still suggests to me a third-party component forcing the SP crafted title construct to be overwritten.

I think he was confused by the post specific permalink at the slugs end. (that's all i see different in his first screen shots) This permalink is also shown if using the simplepress post link sidebar widget to access a certain post. Also it is present after composing a post or editing one.
I have always called it a slug which is appropriate for a WordPress post permalink. Yoast alway says mine is too long and suggests shortening it when writing a blog post. Outside looking at the browser url window it might be called something else. I'm not that into tech stuff other than seo and social media stuff.
I chimed in because getting the seo component settings correct is beneficial to being found on the net.
Just my two cents worth as usual..

Let me also say this.
It is an SEO best practice to keep the title line to 60 characters. After much trial and error with simplepress i have found that utilizing that space for post specific info is crucial. In other words.
"SimplePress is the best WordPress forum plugin" rather than "site name > forum name > SimplePress is the best WordPress forum plugin" which truncates the most important part the post title pushing it out of display in search results.
Open graph title and description meta is can be much longer. I'm anxious to fiddle with sp's updated versions og.
Love this program!

Thank you for improving my understanding of what is going on.
I will browse your sites source code as soon as I get a chance to start my VPN. I am receiving a CAPTCHA error (There was an issue communicating with the captcha provider. More information may be available below) and presume this is due to the Great Firewall.
It looks like Open Graph Protocol is going to be utilized by many WP plugins; and probably themes too. Is there an ETA on the SP update?
While everyone is fresh with familiarity from running around inside my source code, and I assume you all run your own WP sites, can I ask a side question... Why are plugins, that are not active on the page, loading their stylesheet and javascript files?
This is unnecessary loading. All of them are linked to from the main menu but should not load until their own page is called. Is this a WP thing or a WeeklyNews Theme thing? i.e. - should I contact WP support or should I bring this to WeeklyNews?
plugins that are not active wont be loading js or css... sounds like a caching issue...
or do mean that active plugins are loading there cs and js even though they are not used on a specific page? if so, that would just be down to lazy or poor programming... its up to the plugin, not wp, to control when their stuff is loaded... simple press, for example, does not load most of our stuff on non forum pages...
5.5.9 will be out when wp releases 4.3... tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, but have not heard final confirmation it is ready...

Hi Adam, sorry for the captcha, forgot you are in China. I set my cloudflare waf to block or challenge China. Had a lot of problems with hackers and content scrapers.
I'm not up on the technical workings of wordpress. Mr. Papa is the guru in that department.
Open graph is being adapted by theme authors to support social sharing. My sites depend on yoast seo to generate open graph for posts and pages. The ebms sites theme DaisyChain by a czeck author also generates open graph that had to be disabled to get simplepress set up the way I wanted.
If you suspect a theme problem best contact the developer.
Hope you get the kinks ironed out. SimplePress is a mighty fine forum.
