I do have a problem whit some 2 of my sub forum. When I do click on their link I do get redirected to a blog posts whit a close matching name. When I do put the post back in to moderation. Then the forum post appears again, and if I do publish again the same ting happens.

I have installed Plugin Organizer, and Wordpress SEO, redirection and a few others are disable from the forum pages. I have check and do not have any forum links in the redirection plugin.

I have checked the permalink panel and update forum permalink.

Any tips?

If a forum (or sub-forum) has the same slug as a blog post (the slug being the part used in the url) then the blog post will be loaded when the request is made. This is how WordPress works I am afraid. SO it is necessary for the slug to be unique. This can be done by editing it and making some sort of adjustment in the edit forums admin panel.

Is this the problem you have?

No, the slug did contain the start of the blog post permalink but it not the complete permalink. And it seams like its function properly and then not.

so it works for while, then stops?  any other plugins that deal with permalinks that could be resetting it?  any redirection plugins?

I did first experience it after upgrading Wordpress SEO, but this was also one of the few times I have written a article about a forum post. And I did find it on one more forum post.

I did install Plugin Organizer, and disabled a non-essential plugin on the forum page. And it still kept happening on and off. Maybe it is some caching in Simple Press? I do not use a caching plugin.

If it happens again would be interested to have a link to the forum topic in question perhaps...

Hello,

I have same behabiour with my forum, after upgrading Wordpress SEO and change permalinks wordpress structure.

I have 404 error for all forums. I can restore the problem with the Simple Press Permalinks page. And sometimes the problem comes back.

My URL forum : http://www.mana-earth.com/foru.....ana-earth/

The problem isn't active at this time.

Thank you

do you turn off the yoast option for converting ugly permalinks? (forum doesnt have them anyways)...

did you turn on the option for this account?  each admin/mod account has their own options.. forum - admins - your admin options...

Yes, i turn off the yoast option for converting ugly permalinks. This option is not checked.

I have displayed the admin bar in "your admin options". Thanks.
