Gish - I have opened a ticket but have not seen anything like this before and I don't think this code has changed for V5. I'll go off and set some data up now for a test...
Could you raise these sort of things in a separate thread. Easier to find them again...

Yeah sure but tbh you guys should set up a "Submitt Bug forum". Seems like everybody post randomly in different forums about their testing and questions.

Or where do you want me to post?

This forum is fine - the one to use.
I was just meaning start a new topic for each problem or question.

Well that was a nasty little bug - partly caused by caching as it happens.

I think I have ot sorted now and committed changes.

Thanks for finding it.

No problem, glad i could help.

Is it possible for me to update my forum with the new changes?

And btw what table in the database controls what structure i have if i want to revert back? 😀

In worst case i could do a full backup but thats alot more to do 🙂

That's all in the sfforums table but beware - that table also holds items like topic counts - most recent topic etc.
The changes to the code are available as always via svn and now also the nightly build download.

I know you want a new post but meh it will be alot of post on everything i want to ask 😀

Updating that single table made the old messud up structure comeback however it messed up other things, it must have some relation to another table?

I downloaded the nightly build and did a overwrite of the files and tried to do a sql truncate this didnt work either, it halted on the PM table (i think).

Because of some messy structure i uninstalled the plugin from the wp plugin menu, however doing this actually removed that single WP page i had my forum on, is that a correct uninstall procedure?

I rather not have a plugin actually delete pages from the WP core, that could make other conflicts as and it was a bit confusing.

Anyway thats not a problem for normal users.

After uninstalling i now had a clean SPF database. So i did a SQL normal create from my backup. This worked well it asked to upgrade, because the backup comes from the old core.

After upgrade to new nightly build

Now it seems like it work to change subforums into normal forums and also remove a forum with subforums makes the subforum goes into normal forums.

Great!

Will do some more testing after lunch ( its 11:43 here in sweden) 🙂

Yeah it works fine, but do you have an answer on this?

Because of some messy structure i uninstalled the plugin from the wp plugin menu, however doing this actually removed that single WP page i had my forum on, is that a correct uninstall procedure?

So uninstallting the plugin actually remove the WP page it was related to?

Just wanted to clear this out 🙂
