Some things I noticed

First off I was upgrading from the current latest to the alpha and it went through most of it fine till I got this:

“Upgrade Aborted
9129
Access denied – Only Users who can Activate Plugins may perform this upgrade
success”

At that time the local server I was running crashed also. But when I restarted the server and reloaded the WP dashboard the forums were installed and working, from what I can till.

I also noticed this when I made a new topic and when back the the main forum display, where it displays the newest topic etc.

“Testing new stuff
-21528 seconds ago”

The -21528 seconds ago seems some what off :P.

I also noticed that even though I have use image thumbnails on , the images are full size on the posts and they go off the margins if they are to big. Which happens for all media still that is to big.

Those where the only things I saw for basic forum stuff for now, I will now get into plugins and see what I can find there.

yes, the timestamp looks off 😉 weird. we had an issue with that awhile back but resolved it…

can you tell me what your wp timezone is set to? wp – settings – general

and then what you have set in your sp profile for your timezone?

and is this a local machine or is it a server? and what its real timezone?

The one in the WP settings was UTC +0, the one on the local machine is UTC -7, as for the SP profile, I believe it is UTC +0.

I noticed while going through the profile though that when I clicked a new section on the profile once in a while the theme would disappear and I would get what looks like plan output with no css or anything. Images below, along with an error I got when I tried changing the timezone.

Browser is Firefox 5.0, WP version is 3.2 and yes when I select UTC -7 from the dropdown, and hit update I got that error, note the dropdown I get is on that stripped page in the image, I cant get to that page without it throwing that page as in the image.

The error is in the browser window, and wp debug isn't turned on. As for the city, no it doesn't work same error. As for the “stripped page” I mean the one you see in the image I posted, that one with the content of the tab, it shows the content on a page by itself not on the tab content area.

/ That one

I just re-updated my wp timezone settings, didnt change it from UTC -7 just reselected it and hit update and now the error wont show no matter what I select in the dropdown for the profile.

color me confused…  I can certainly get my timezone to save… unless I set it to utc + or -…

and still confused by the stripped page…  are you saying when you clicked the dropdown it opens it in a new window or popup?  and whats with that save button??  we dont have anything like that…

wonder if there is a problem with your theme?  what theme and overlay did you select?  forum – themes – available themes…

did you actually grab the themes from the svn repo?

hmmm… wonder if that means the wp timezone doesnt exist until you save it??  I can look into that…

and would make sense why I dont see the error… so what about saving timezones now?  can you check a city and then a utc + and utc -?  at least get to same place as me. Wink

I 'think' fixes for the timezone issues have been committed… would still like to hear back on theme stuff…

The timezone stuff worked no matter the city selection or +- selection. As for the theme I am using the default one off the svn with the default silver overlay. And what I mean by the page is as it looks when you goto edit profile you get that left side menu, with content on the right, with links at the top as well. If I click the top option link it loads the sidebar with the options and the content fine, but when I click an option on the left it loads what would seem like a new page with what I assume is what is suppose to the in the content. I took better pictures, below:

This Image / is what it looks like before I click an option, what it should look like.

This is what it looks like after I click the option / as you can see the address bar shows all the get commands as well.

do you have firefox set to open some links in external windows or tabs? Is this PC or mac or other?

It should just open in the viewport area like the top links do…

kind of lost as to what could be going on… any addons for FF that you think might could interfere?  do you have any other browser you could try?
