While this is the first time I’ve heard of the ’00’ after user names, this is a problem we’ve encountered and fixed for the next version.

Did you add it as Steve outlined in Post #3?

Will also add, they are warnings not errors. If you’ve added the line as mentioned above can you then load the profile panel properly?

Unfortunately it didn’t help. Error presist unchanged.

Could be several things.

What tool did you use to edit the code? It MUST be a plain text editor NOT a Word Processor.

Did you put the line of code INSIDE php tags. If outside that will blow things up.

Did you leave some empty lines at the top of a file before the opening php tag. That too can cause problems.

Any of the above?

I’ve just added include above line 309 as in the example.

whole file is in php inside one php tag, how could I insert something out of it while editing some line from the insides

I’m not sure whether it’s just because you’ve pasted the code in there without using the syntax highligter or because you’ve copied out the code from the fix post without using the ‘view raw code’ button on the highlighted code, but the single quotes in that are definitely rich text and not plain.

Now what I did, I’ve copied this part of code from the file, pasted into notepad.exe and copied back

It worked – the error is gone and profle tab is functionality again but I’m still having problem with thise numbers added to usernames… Let me show you

Edit: I fixed it! I’ve deleted the buddypress folder from my folder theme (I deleted buddypress long time ago but something left after deleting it) – it helped! All nicknames back to normal 🙂

Good news.. Never seen the issue before and also not sure what the leftover buddypress content was and what impact it would have, but useful to know!

Let me tell you just to know.
/themes/mytheme/buddypress
was 3 folders with other files and subfolders inside (nvm-) basicly it were:
forums, groups and members

Afraid this means little to me but hopefully @mr-papa – who knows more about BP than me – might find the information pertinent. Thanks.

Issue came back!

Again to my new users usernames two random numbers  are added… And error in profile options is also back.

So are you saying that somehow the change was reverted and you re-fixed it?

If so, what changed? Was something updated? If the 00 on the end of usernames was the result of something ‘left behind’ by a BuddyPress removal, is it possible that something updated and put these folders back? Or is it possible you have some custom code maybe a hook that’s causing problems?
