I’ve checked for bp folders but they are not there.

What changed humm… 3 plugins added, then after some time they blew up with error about invalid header or so… Deleted  uploaded again – worked.

I don’t know even when those profiles broken again (but couple of days ago) – where to look for cause then?

So my guess would be that the folders weren’t the problem in the first place.

Is it possible those numbers added to the username are relevant somehow i.e user’s ID? Might be worth checking. It’s definitely a unique case so I’d like to think it’s a result of something you’re running.

Maybe worth deactivating all plugins except SP and seeing if the problem is resolved, just to check it off the list of potential causes.

It’s still  sometimes broken and sometimes look normal… still adding numbers to nicknames what more I found making strange Ids… any idea?

We have since discovered the error that you are seeing in the forum admin profile form is the same as the one you fixed but needs a separate fix of it’s own. We are still a bit mystified about this as it only seems to effect a very small number of users bit this will fix it and this fix is in the next SP update.

Now question regarding the numerics on the end of the display names. I see you have the display name set to the WP login name (your first attached image). If you look at the users in the WP Users (all Users) admin screen do the names have numerics on them there? And when these people post to your forums do the display names have numerics showing up?

I am not sure what else to ask to be honest. SP is not adding those numbers on the end buit it would be really nice to try and find out where and what is doing it,

In forum all broken nicknames are with numbers. In wp users there are double username for every user.
Username and Username00 (default set to username00)

So then it is time to look at what other plugins you are using.

SP maintains it’s own ‘display name’ field for anyone wanting to have a different identity on the forum to the rest of the WP site – but we never stick numbers arbitrarily on the end.

We most certainly do not touch any of the WP user settings like ‘nicename’.

I would guess that the only plugin you have there that may have something to do with it would be UserPro although it is not a plugin I am familiar with. The rest would seem doubtful contenders to me.

My new guess is: it brokes like in first post when I create new user… Then after some time it seems to become normal, like user profile settings are loading. After creating new user – it’s broken again. Guys I need any idea what is wrong… it’s unacceptable what’s going on.

Whatmore the forum registration button is leading to register through admin panel = real tragedy

Just quickly as to the registration button, that should be your choice. What are your settings under Forum > Components > Login and Registration?

Actually taking people through the WP admin to dashboard or their profile is the default WordPress way and this is WP you are using. This is nothing to do with SP at all – but we know people don’t like it so you can turn that off and stop them. We allow for that in the forum options in fact.

I think your next move should be to work out exactly how to replicate this number suffix issue so you can do it every time and then to deactivate other plugins one at a time to see if it stops after one of them is turned off. Sometimes it is the only way.
