Has anyone else experienced this? Sometimes they just stop working. On google chrome I can't start a new topic, reply to a pm, all sorts of things but then I can do all that in safari. I have heard people complaining about it happening on other browsers and idfferent devices as well.

Not, I believe, on a 'sometimes they do - sometimes they do not' basis. And not on a browser basis either. So if that is genuinely happening it is worth digging into. Would you be willing to set up an account we can try the forum with? If so...

Please send a PM to both myself (Yellow Swordfish) and Mr Papa.

It helps if you can include links to not just your forum but also to this topic so we can get to it quickly to re-read what has been said. A brief reminder of the problem is also very helpful.

If not possible then at least a link to your forum page might bear fruit although that is, of course, more unlikely.

Sure I can do that. The frustrating thing is it is completely intermittent so I have a hard time understanding what would be causing it.

Yes - typically I seem to haver working buttons on every attempt (Chrome). And not seeing any script errors.

I AM seeing some Chrome Violations (which you can view in the web console using the 'Warnings' option) mainly to do with Cloudflare and Rocket. Now - we have had users who have had problems with Rocket and I can call upon a user who has been more than willing to help others with this if that is any use...

Sorry that's their javascript enhancement. Current setting is on automatic. I am going to turn that off and see what the impact is.

That could be a good move. But I will contact the user in question to see if he is willing to advise.

I have experienced the add new topic button not responding before in both Chrome and Firefox. It's doesn't do it every login but last month it was experienced twice. Usually a quick refresh of the page fixes it. I use the 64 bit version of Firefox called Waterfox same browser just built on a 64bit platform.

Have not had any SimplePress CloudFlare Rocket Loader problems since these guys rewrote their JavaScript.

Try creating a custom page rule to disable rocket loader on the forum page.  Info is here and here.
