the notices ended up being exposed when we corrected another problem...  this code wasnt getting run before the correction which is why our notice sweep of 5.0 didnt reveal them...

I have been running version 5.0.2 (build 8166) for few hours and do not get notices anymore.

good to hear! thanks for the update! dont like to push out too many releases, but that harmless notice was making for large error logs... and, well, that wp updater thingy makes it easy to do releases... wink
