Hi all...
I've update some of the plugins as indicated from wordpress.

After that when I proceed to try to add my signature image or avatar the page UI went to a white screen with text etc...
I went into my config and turn de-bug to true and found out the above err message.

plugins/simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-error.php on line 161

Any ideas guys?

Regards,

this is the actual message..  Though I reckon it's about message 2?  Since its a SP-api?  I'm not sure as i'm a designer not a developer.  Any kind soul to help?  I've already uninstalled simple-press once and also wordpress all together.. Reinstalled but still the same. >.<"

The 'Notices' are an annoyance (and we deal with them when we find them) but of no significance as such. The 'Warning' is also just a message and what caused the warning is the important thing which it doesnlt really give much help on.

So - nothing useful as such there.

Do I understand correctly that all you did was update SP plugins? Nothing else? No other WP updates of any sort?

If this is correct - could you by any chance briefly deactivate the ones you updated one at a time and then see if you still get the same problem?

Yup I've just downloaded SP plugins update however it's weird that Wordpress is also asking me to download a patch which version was smaller then the latest.

Currently the site has NO plugin installed and the problem still persist.

'Wordpress is also asking me to download a patch which version was smaller then the latest.'

I assume you don't mean an SP plugin here? And you mean version number? I am not aware of any WP core updates at the moment.

So - to the problem. is this the only issue you have found - the signatures/avatar?

Yeah just SP plugins only.. I could take a screenshot for u and yes it would be only the profile page. Not to mention the tiny ck editor doesn't work as well with the forum. :)

Do you mean tinyMCe editor?
Do you know how to use Firebug by any chance? We need to check for some script issues.
Actually - before you do that - could you empty your browser cache? Just in case some old scripts are still being loaded from the cache... and give things one more try...?

Hi there.. thanks once again for the prompt reply as always... really grateful as I do need the forum up by 2nd Week November and all that is bugging me is the profile settings page where I get adjust and add signature etc.

Here's my Specs in case you guys need to know
FireFox
Domain and host from GoDaddy.
Wordpress version 3.4.2
MacBookPro

I've clear and empty my browser cache on firefox and the same problem comes out.  I believe firebug is from Chrome which I've used it before briefly.  What do you need from me to check on with firebug?

My apologies the plugins are indeed a version higher by one.  I was reading them wrongly.  However it still does not fix the issue at hand for the profile page :|

The Firebug extension for Firefox is actually the best tool but yes - webkit browsers do now come bundled with some basic tools.

What you need - if you can - is to have the Firebug console open and then reload the profile page and make your change and let's see if anything gets reported.

Or - if you are having issues with the editor - load a forum topic and click on reply to see what happens.
