Hello,

When using the SP importer plugin to import phpbb data to simplepress it worked great for the topics that didn't have a large amount of posts in them. But any forums with a largish amount of posts gave me errors.

The plugin ran its course importing 2,000 posts but the original phpbb forum had 15,000. Is there a way to fix this?

To be honest I am not sure what to say. Working locally, as you appear to be doing, I have imported far bigger DB's successfully with a smaller max execution time than you have set there. Perhaps, as a temporary measure, it might be worth setting that higher to see what happens. And then setting it back again of course.

Thanks yellow, I'll give that a go.

Just another couple of quick questions.

My wordpress has all the users in the database that are also in the PHPBB forum.

When importing - what option should I select to do with passwords (or should i remove all users from the wordpress database?)

Copy source passwords from user records

Let WordPress create new, random passwords

Also how long should it take to do this (approx. 15,000 posts)? - the original one took about an hour.

Disregard the post above.

I have now imported the phpbb forum contents on my online server and it has gone a lot more smoothly.

Thanks
