thats odd… some js on that site is really throwing IE for a loop… its refusing to load any js throwing errors that access is denied to the scripts…

I can tell you that your simple white iis loading very old jquery and jquery ui…  versions much, much older than the current versions of those that ship with wp…  that is bad especially when the wp versions are loaded later…  will lead to conflicts and issues..,

This really looks like what I’ve experimented a few times already.  I bet there is a ‘bad’ charachter in one of your CSS file, most probably the /sp-resources/forum-themes/default/stylesDefault.php file.

It’s frustrating because it’s hard to find…  but use the S:P internal Theme editor to look at each line of this file if you don’t see a tiny black rhombus with a question mark inside it.

if that was the case, everyone would be having issues, just not you…  and I dont see those characters…

more than likley, it would be some corruption that occurred in ftp process to your server…

I think it depend on the editor being used for modifying those files.  This has happened a few times to me so that’s why I suggested him to take a look there.  If he haven’t edit any at all then maybe this is not the cause.

Thank you very much for your sugestion, but this is a 100% new and clean installation.

I wiil no try to un-install it again and then make some new groups/forums to see how it looks in Explorer. I THINK the problem comes up AFTER importing from PHPBB. I´ll be back.

1. I completely un-installed Simple:Press

2. Did a new clean install

3. Did NOT importing anything

4. Created a couple of forums

But the problem is the same as before…

Now I have tried another WP theme, just for testing, but still it´s not working in Explorer 🙁

might not be the theme… if you tried the default wp theme and still no good, then try disabling all other plugins and see if it improves…  then reenable one by one until it breaks…

No sorry, I´m unsure what to do…

OK after more than 30 hours of hard work and lot´s of testing I think I got it 🙂

It was complicated but these pluginns was involved (I think):

When I was NOT logged in: “Zamango Page Navigation” (This plugin adds an advanced page navigation to WordPress)

And when I was Looged in: “Youtube with Style” (Show You Tube videos with a custom stylish player, also create galleries, how user videos in widget form, and search in real time via the youtube api)

And sometimes I had problems with: “add widgets to page” (Adds Wiget space to Posts and Pages using shortcode)

After deactivation of these plugins I got it to work. Lately I activated “Zamango Page Navigation” again, and the forum is still working fine in Explorer??? But I´m happy, because it looks like I soon a ready to use Simple:Press instead of PHPBB 🙂

A little P.S.:
I had to give up regarding “Editor (TinyMCE – Rich Text)” – I simply can´t get it to work in… Explorer 🙁

most odd… I dont have those issues… which IE version? I only test in 8 and 9… cant wait for IE 10… MS might actually follow standards in this one…

I just arrived to comment your last post, and then I saw the same error here on your forum? This time I was using Google Crome. After a F5 refresh everything was back to normal again.

We have been having a few server problems this evening so you probably caught it during one of those when the CSS didn’t get loaded. I had the same thing happen to me on our Codex with missing menus.
