Hello - I joined as a Gold Member and downloaded the SP plugin earlier today. When I attempt to install the plugin, I get the following message:
Unable to communicate with SP servers for version requirements. Please try again in few minutes.
I've tried the install numerous attempts with the same results.
Here's some additional information:
* My website is hosted on HostGator.
* I'm running the latest version of WP (4.4.1)
* I'm using the Woothemes Canvas theme (latest version)
* All plugins are up to date.
* I tried deactivating all plugins, clearing cache, etc. to see if there was a conflict with another plugin.
Any help will be appreciated. I'll continue to try just in case there is an issue with the SP server. If there are additional steps I can take to troubleshoot, please let me know.
I look forward to getting SP installed - excited to have it.

No, not normally... unless you are running some sort of firewall that may be blocking access to our domain...
You can ask hostgator directly...
Its remotely possible that our server is blocking the IP of your domain, but unlikely... if you want to pass along the IP of your site, I can take a look at our server blacklist...

just give them domain...they can get the IP from it if needed...

checked the access logs and the api is working fine with folks accessing the server as needed... like other wp plugins/themes its checking in with our server for any updates available... since not hosted at wordpress.org, it checks with our site directly, not wordpress.org...
not seeing any rejected, but without more info on the access attempt, hard to pinpoint...
can still check IP for firewall, if you give me your domain or IP...
