Support Forum
Maybe it'll be easier to start the forum as a new install and not import that old topics, don't want to but it might be easier.
When I've installed a new WP I've done it through my Cpanel and it was supposed to have been in a new directory called new, but I can't see.
Would I be better manually installing WP on my server in it's own directory??
this plugin, may have fixed the fault, I'll let you know if my stats work tomorrow
I have just added a WP backup plugin to my WP and it has detected the WP cron fault, so I have gone to their FAQ and this is what they have said.
What do I do if I get the wp-cron error message
The issue is that your
is not returning a
response when hit with a http request originating from your own server, it could be several things, most of the time it's an issue with the server / site and not with BackUpWordPress.
Some things you can test are.
- Are scheduled posts working? (They use wp-cron too).
- Are you hosted on Heart Internet? (wp-cron is known not to work with them).
- If you click manual backup does it work?
- Try adding
define( 'ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true ); to your
wp-config.php`, do automatic backups work?
- Is your site private (I.E. is it behind some kind of authentication, maintenance plugin, .htaccess) if so wp-cron won't work until you remove it, if you are and you temporarily remove the authentication, do backups start working?
If you have tried all these then feel free to contact support.
How to get BackUpWordPress working in Heart Internet
The script to be entered into the Heart Internet cPanel is:
(note the space between php5 and the location of the file). The file
must be set to
.
Guess what, I'm hosted with Heart....just my luck. Can anybody help me with where I put this script above, I know I have to go to my wp-cron.php, do I just copy and paste and drop it in there anywhere???. I have changed the chmod that was easy.
I have 2 domains, and it's the 2nd domain I have my wp on, so do I do
Or do I just have to change the chmod and I'm done...sorry for being so silly...I've read it and re read it, and now I'm thinking I just change the chmod and nothing else. HELP
