hey Papa,

based on this I uninstalled and reinstalled the forum. It did much better however it seems like there are 100 members or so still missing. They also appear to be members that have a lot of numbers in front of their name, if that helps.

uninstalled?  yikes... hope no data you needed... wink

so why would it not be creating the members? rhetorical, I know...  any messages during the install?  anything in the error log?

so the users with numbers in front of their name, are those that are in wp users, but not sfmembers?  or vice versa?  for the ones created in sfmembers, does the display name match the display name in the wp users table?

@ Mr Papa

please look in your db… how many rows do you have for the wp users table?  and how many rows for the sfmembers table?

did the users exist before you installed simple press?  how did they register?

wp users = 5464

sf members = 5466

There were about 10 users before simple-press install

Members register using Buddypress system

Thanks, Carley

Clearly should have read this one before the other thread on the same issue.
There have been issues with user registered via BuddyPress in the past as BP was not firing the necessary WP hooks that enable SP to pick them up. But I thought that was resolved by the BP team a long time ago. Is this, by any chance, an older version?

It's possible that cron - the system that runs scheduled code in the background - is not functioning on your server. I will need Steve to help out on how to determine that but if there is a way you can find out it would be useful.

@Yellow Swordfish

- I'll get my developer to have a look at this. I know we use the cron for a few things.

- It looks like the forum stats / user stats have never updated since very soon after being installed (however the "newest members" does seem to update)

Thanks, Carley

All of the SP cron code is in the file /startup/site/sp-site-cron.php and the routine in question is sp_cron_generate_stats().

Hello Yellow Swordfish,

Thanks a lot for your kind support , it is working fine for me now after I have executed the sp_cron_generate_stats() function.
