Under the Storage Locations section under Integration, it shows all my SP folders with a green checkmark for "Location found", but a red X for "Write - denied".
I went to those folders in FTP and set all their permissions to 775 (they were 755), but this hasn't changed the "write - denied" status of the folders in the SP panel.
How do I resolve this problem?
You also need to check the directory owner. That is the uid/gid of sp-resources. It should match wp-content. In some php flavors and configs it does not get created right.

1. I don't have any security plugins except possibly Digital Access Pass, a membership plugin that restricts pages to members on my site. Could that be the problem? Have you dealt with DAP or other membership plugins before and found a fix?
2. How do I check the directory owner? I used an FTP program (Transmit) to change the permissions of the folders. I believe using root access.
No DAP would not be the problem and yes we have dealt with it before although I seem to recall one or two problems long the way... a topic for another day perhaps!
Yes indeed the UID and GUI could be the culprit. Most ftp programs will tell you these for any given folder - at least the ones i use do (Cyberduck on the Info popup) but I have never used Transmit.
They need to be the same as the wp-content folder.

Oh yes- almost certainly. Not sure how that could have happened though as all folders should inherit from the parent they are placed within. They should a be 'www-data'.
Can you change? Or you might gave to ask your host support to quickly do it. Might be worth mentioning it happened in any case.
