May I ask where you are wanting this to show up?Well since permalinks are the permanent URLs to individual web site posts, categories etc. Where should it show up if not in the address bar of my web browser?
The reason I asked is because some folks call some things different names than what they are. Sorry If it sounded stupid.

No problem.
I appricate that you try to help.
Cheers
With it not showing in full do the links still work or is it just what they are showing correctly? I am not using sub's but will go set one up myself to see as well. I set one up and see what your meaning yet the link works.
Actually they never have been constructed like that. A sub-forum is, after all, just another forum.
We can certainly discuss the pros and cons of changing that. The main issue would be that it would require extra rewrite rules to be constructed and all the rules to be flushed whenever a new sub-forum was added or one changed. i will raise it for discussion though...

Thanks for the answer Andy.
I believe this feature would simplify the forum administration and also have some SEO benefits. However i do not know if the use of sub forums are common amongst your costumers, but i know it´s vital to our gaming community.
We have six different section within the community. One for each game that we are activily playing. Each game have their own forum with 5-7 sub and sub-sub forums.
Example:
-Lord of the Rings Online
-- recruitment
-- guides
-Star Wars the Old Rublic
-- recruitment
-- guides
What happens is that above forums get identical permalinks:
-site/forum home/recruitment
-site/forum home/guides
If the parent forum name was included in the link, the forums would have unique permalinks:
-site/forum/lord-of-the-rings-online/recruitment
-site/forum/star-wars-the-old-republic/recruitment
I know it´s possible to give the forums unique names/permalinks, which we did, to overcome this issue. But it would be lovely if the "full" links where given.
-site/forum/lord-of-the-rings-online/guides/warriors
does say a lot more than
-site/forum/warriors
and i think it´s an advantage as well when it comes to Google SEO.
Just my few cents. Love your forum and support any way.
Cheers
Thomas
