Just a thought!
Maybe this issue some how is related to my other issue with members not being able to delete their own posts?

I doubt it. but one never knows... A couple of versions ago, we changed how delete works to use ajax instead of a page reload. I am guessing with that, for users deleting their own post, we knocked it with the ajax changed...
feeling better today, so need to get up, but will try looking into the icons this weekend.. but a bit concerned that it worked right for you on a second test site... that means it is something with the set up.

Yes that worries me.
When the subforum icons do not work as intended, you realize how much they actualy mean to give the users a smooth experince. The icons and the delete post issue, realy trubles me.
I hope you guys can help me to solve it.

I ran a quick test this morning and it did not exhibit the problem... so I need to try changing some config options and see if I can make it happen...
was your test setup a different config than the live site? db copy?

Hi Steve,
My test site have fresh installation with very little content. I have no clue how to perform a db copy. But i could try if you have the time to guide me.

sorry, it was more a question than a request... was trying to understand if the two sites were copies of each other or completely different... sounds like the latter...
still not able to duplicate but have few more things I want to try... just way behind after being sick 3 days and Andy out...

Of all my current support topics, this is the one that i wish solved first because it decrease the user experince. It´s quite messy to find a lot of the updated topics and posts since i am utilizing so many subforums.

my previous post from yesterday said I was looking into it... but as of yet, cannot duplicate it... like your test site, its working for me too... so need to try some other config stuff..

Dont get me wrong Steve, i appricate all your efforts a lot. Not my intentions being pushy towards you, i am currently getting a lot of complains from users at my gaming community which make me feel a bit uneasy.
If you need admin rights at my site to debug the forum, just give me a shout.

no offense taken... a bit frustrated myself in general... lost 3 days to sickness and still not 100%... plus a lot of other stuff going on... and Andy is on vacation - lucky guy!
Can I ask perhaps a dumb question? since you are using custom icons, for one of the subforums in question, can you edit the forum and actually verify that you have different custom icons selected for the custom forum icon and the custom forum icon unread posts?
