Submit button not always working

The 'submit' reply/new post button doesn't always work.  I just got word from two of my forum users that they have to write their post, copy it, go back to the post, open up a reply box again, then paste their response into the new one and then click the submit button and it works.

This is also the case when they try to add a new topic, the submit button almost doesn't seem active. And they have to copy the text, go back, click on add topic and paste the text in.

This doesn't happen all the time but at 1 out of 3 times.

Any idea what could be causing this to happen?

That's a tough one. Are you able to check for conflicts in the browser console when you do have the problem?

The only times we have experienced similar behavior, the users were using MS Internet Exploder.

Enabling "Compatibility View" fixed the problem.

Find our what browser they use, and if IE, have them try that.

Jim - I know one of my members is using Safari, they are both using Mac so it wouldn't be IE.

I can not of, of course, post, so the editor is not being loaded which may, possibly, cause issues I can not see, but as it stands, there are no scripting errors or conflicts which is great news.

Can you ask these users - if they are all Mac users - if their version of Safari is getting a bit old in the tooth? I myself use a Mac exclusively but I wont touch Safari if I can help it as it really is not that good - and older versions more often than not had scripting issues. If they all use Safari could you ask them to at least try using a different browser just to see if that resolves their issue and if so it might be necessary to ask them to bring their OS and Safari up to date.
