Not sure what you expect me to do really. if  you have something effecting tinyMCE - and if it is not the theme - it probably has to be a plugin. Personally I would deactivate them one by one and keep trying to load the foirum page to see if it suddenly starts to work. If you can find the culprit then we may be able to find a strategy for dealing with it.

I dont intend to be a burden, but so far nothing worked: i am following your advice - Changed the theme. - Deactivate all plugins that you suspected told.

I will now deactivate everything as you suggest.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks, R.

I disabled all plugins, the theme is wp's default.

Doesn't work...

Could you please advise what should be the next step from your experience ?

Thanks,

R.

There you go. It was your tinymce editor settings. Someone (you?) had added 'wltags' to the plugin list and as far as we know wltags still needs fixing to work properly.

Fist of of THANKS!! It works.

But I want to understand what went wrong, and what did you have to do to solve it.

After disabling all plugins, it still didn't work for me.

What do you mean by:

It was your tinymce editor settings. Someone (you?) had added 'wltags' to the plugin list and as far as we know wltags still needs fixing to work properly.

Is there a spcecial place to add plugins, other than the WP dashboard ?

I'm a bit confused, as I disabled all, wltags including, and it didn't work.

Could you please advise how it was solved ? Hopefully , next time, I'll be able to check myself..

Thanks again,

Ronen.

Forum admin > Components > Editor (TinyMCE). Thus is where you set which TinyMCE buttons and TinyMCE plugins you want to use.

The TinyMCE plugin 'wltags' had been added to the plugin list. This explains why it was trying to load it and it was reporting a failure. It does not work with the use of the TinyMCE editor on the public side of your site - only in the Admin.

So I simply removed it and set the options back to their default state. By the way - all being well we have a fix for the heavy font being seen on the buttons which is a result of changes to WordPress in 3.8. We will be releasing a 5.4.0 Simple:Press either today or tomorrow.

There's one more question, now that it works.

It's about performance.

For new topic, when "Add Topic" is clicked, the subject line pops right away, but the MCE is stuck for 8 seconds before it shows.

Any thoughts to why this may happen and how to fix this ?

Thanks,

Ronen.
