Subscriptions Plugin Causes Site To Crash - Alternative Solution?

I haven't really had anything to do with this plugin but looking at it then yes it might. If I recall correctly it was a custom plugin for a user who was happy for us to share it.
The main problem is that it really only comes into it's own when you are adding user group and permission combinations to a forum.

right... so to make it occur for existing users, just remove the usergroup and permission set from the forum... then readd it back in... the plugin will kick in and do its thing...
