Not as it stands but certainly I believe it could be done. If I recall then there are hooks available to plug into and if I am right then it would just need a little extra coding,.

Could be useful I think. Would make it possible to use both the WP login and Forum login with Capatcha. If I use a WP Capatcha plugin it kind of breaks Simplepress forum login and I prefer having both.

I am afraid not.
We are talking about (the possibility only at the moment!) of having a plugin 'binge' soon to sweep up some of the user requests. But as I am sure you will understand, when this happens it will start with items that have been popularly requested....
