Sorry for the late response, but I had to convince the theme designer it’s really a theme issue. I’d to create a test environment ( staging area ) and first they told me it’s a server issue…., as this was not the case in there own environment……, asked a technical person from the hosting company ( SiteGround ) to explain them it’s not a server issue.
But finally….., after three weeks ( !! ) they have found it and of course it was a bug in the theme. Last friday an updated version came out and today installed it in the staging environment and all the http requests are good now. So also installed the updated theme in our live environment.
