its because the user put all of the text inside of html pre tags... that means preformatted and dont mess with...

usually comes from cutting and pasting from an html source or document program like MS Word...

you can strip those pre tags on forum - options - content in order to prevent users from doing that...

yes... but its a save filter - done when the post is saved... so it wont help you with existing posts... you will manually have to edit those and remove the pre tags yourself...
