Hi SimplePress Team!
first of all, I really fell in love with your wordpress plugin and everything is working fine as expected.
Just want to know if there is a possibility or an option that thread/topic starters can edit their FIRST post post forever.
Because in the simplepress forum I created, we are trying to have a "one topic per user/member rule", and that they should only update the first post they did so that people reading it would not have to look for the rest of the content. An example is our photo gallery section and the tutorial section.
I am currently using the option that members can "edit their own post forever" but I fear that some people may abuse that option.
Hope you could help me on this one!
There is nothing currently built in that would allow for this. We could add a filter call to the check for whether a user can edit a specific post - and I am perfectly willing and happy to do that. But I would need to check there are no other 'gotchas' before making a commitment. If there were none though then a simple routine added to your SP theme functions would override the checks.
If that is of interest to you I can open a ticket to get it investigated for a future update.
