Please see the 'custom theme change' document for the recent 5.4.2 update - specifically the ui-dialog section which had to change due to WordPress core changes.\

Hi Andy,

I did read it, but i dont understand what it means.

Are the diagonal lines over the popup image and screen here to stay? No way to remove it?

The link below the thumbnail show the image just fine.

OK let's go back a stage...

Is this a custom theme? I.e., not one of our stock themes but one you have created yourself from one of ours so you could tweak a few things?

And - if so - what was it about the changes document that you didn't understand? It is just telling you that you will need to make a few small CSS changes to support the WP changes in ui-dialog popup handling - which includes the stripy overlay issue.

Yes, i am using a custom theme.

What i did not understand before by reading about the ui-dialog text you refered to, was that it caused the stripy overlay issue. However i do now and will make the changes you pointed out.

Ah - sorry. I understand.

Yes - the overlay has always been there on a popup image. The problem is that WordPress has altered things so that now it sits over the top of the popup instead of underneath it. Those few CSS rule changes should sort things back to normal. Let us know if they don't for any reason.

Good news is that we are currently working on child theme support which, hopefully, will help make these sort of changes less necessary in the future.
