Well, as I said, it most definitely does expand when clicked...  but the image that is shown in the popup dialog box is only 1px tall so you cannot really see it...  if I click on that 1px tall image it opens in a new window...  this is not a general problem simple press is having with IE...

what we need to find out is why is the popup image only 1px tall...  unfortunately, the IE developer tools are so bad they dont let you inspect the html/css/js in the popup window, so struggling to understand why its 1px tall...  but still working it...

and you site is still showing those malformed html tags that I mentioned above... and its image tags that are getting malformed...  also, because of these errors, the page will not validate either...  the malformed image tags could easily be the problem if the image tag in the popup is being malformed too...

so when you switched to the default wp theme, did you clear your browser cache before trying again?  IE is notorious for hanging on to cached items...

if so, then could you try deactivating your other plugins, clear browser cache and test once again to see if still happening...  if not, then re-enable one by one and test until it breaks... then we can work that...

I didn't clear the cache so I will try it again and clear the cache.

I cleared the cache this time and the problem still exists. The problem with the TinyMCE not showing in explorer is a problem with the Buddystream plugin. When I deactivate it the TinyMCE appears. Besides Buddypress, Buddystream is one of my most used plugins so I will send a message to Buddystream support and see if they can give me any info on resolving the problem. I also disabled a plugin I had called restore jQuery. I wonder if that was causing the errors.

It would also be worth seeing what happens when we release 5.2 later today (assuming wp releases 3.5)... we have changed our tinymce plugin to use the wp built in version of tinymce instead of our own unique copy... perhaps that will make a difference...

Its a bit weird how it only happens in IE... sure wish I could get the IE dev tools to let me inspect the popup so I could see what was driving the 1px display... guessing its the malformed html but dont know for sure that was occurring in the popup...
