This is my 2nd attempt posting this, the 1st time it seems to have been deleted ….
The TinyMCE editor has disappeared. When editing a post/reply the toolbar can’t be seen. Everyone has to just enter text, there’s no way to format anything, insert links, images etc because the editor Toolbar is missing.
The issue is as described here, seems to be o in PHP 7, but not 8.
My site is running PHP 8.0, Simple Press 6.8.2, Editor TincyMCE Rich Text 4.1.0.

Hi Philip,
I’m sorry for deleting your last post. When migrating to a new database we accidentally managed to use a backup that was a few hours old and didn’t contain your posts. As we also were migrating email at the same time, we missed your first email.
We have spent some time today recreating the bug with TinyMCE and PHP 8 and I think we have a solution. We still have some more testing to do and it takes some work to create and release a new version, but we hope to release it during next week.

We just released an update that should fix the issue with TinyMCE on PHP 8.0. Please let us know if you still experience any TinyMCE issues after the update.

Great thank you. I’ve installed the update and can see the TinyMCE editor is now appearing. I’ll report back if there’s any further issues.
