The toolbar for editing post text like the one directly above the section that I'm entering this post in is missing on my installation of Simple Press. I've searched the Simple Press sections, e.g., options, components, etc., but cannot find a switch to turn this on. Help appreciated. Of course I'm a newbie.

have you downloaded and activated the SP TinyMCE Editor plugin? If not this codex artiucle will get you started: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-plugins/
