Support Forum
This is probably a really basic question but I cant seem to fathom it out. At the moment I have the title for my forum at the top of the page with a sub heading before things like Logged in and Members tabs begin. Im trying to replace that heading and sub heading with a graphic banner instead just to try and brighten the forum up a bit but not really sure how to go about it.
Any help would be apprecited.
Thanks.
heading and subheading?
have you seen forum - options - display setting where you can replace the wp page title with a banner?
or in the spHead.php template file of your theme, where you want it, you can just insert the banner...
if I am missing something, please explain further...

Thanks.
I had tried that but still ended up with a page title as well which turned out to be the Theme that I was using and I had entered those names in there if that makes any sense.
I now have my banner up but it is a touch too small is there any way of changing the size of it in Simple Press or do I just have to edit the picture until I get the desired size?
Edit: I just realized like you say by pasting the HTML for the banner in the place you said I can do it that way as well, so just wondering if there is something I can change there to alter the size?
yeah, you really need to just edit the picture... we dont do anything with it but display the image you tell us too...

not sure what you are asking... the option on forum - options - display settings is to replace the wp page title with an image...
so you supply the image (uploaded to your server or other).... you enter the url and we display it... so the image really needs to be what you want to display..

Sorry not to be clear. You said that I can edit the spHead.php template file and place the image in there. I did it that way by cutting the HTML link from photobucket for my file and then pasting it in to that template. That worked but I just wondered if there was anyway of manipulating the HTML to make the image larger. I have seen in some HTML that people can add width settings and such but Im really not familiar with HTML so wasnt sure if that were possible.
yes you can add width="xx" and it will size the image... but if you scale the image up from its native size, it will lose quality fast - cant create pixels out of nothing...
