I just put it in the sp_topicview.php for this theme. I was running the stacked earlier. Okay I will try disabling some plugins...

Even with every plugin disabled I cannot edit posts and I have double images showing for each attachment. Not sure what's happening with the rank images either. Not displaying still.

Would FTP and cPanel access help you any?

I am going to overwrite the core files to see if one was corrupted when I transferred the site to the new server.

Even after a total reinstall the issue persists. I totally removed the files from the server, reinstalled and queried the database back in. Could this be a simplepress plugin issue?

if it is,  you are the only out of tens of thousands of users....  doesnt rule it out, but would be something unique to your install..

I dont see the template tag in spTopicView template file for the theme in use... used the sp theme editor to look for it...  at least not where I would expect it...  should be right be the forum rank stuff typically...

That's odd. It's a brand new install so I am not sure how that tag is missing.

OK I got that tag in like so now. Still nothing showing.

 sp_PostIndexUserRank('tagClass=spPostUserRank spCenter'); sp_PostIndexUserSpecialRank('tagClass=spPostUserSpecialRank spCenter'); sp_PostIndexUserMemberships('tagClass=spPostUserMemberships spCenter');

by default, that tag is not in our themes - too many different titles and badges... so for usergroup badges, you do have to add the tag hence why we asked if you added it ;)

and now you have a different sp theme running... did you add it there?  if you added it previously to a different theme, you would have to add it to this one too...  just looked and its not there...

It doesn't work so I removed it. It just does this:

Admin

Admin

One right under the other but no image. I really don't get why it can't link to an image that is uploaded and visible in the control panel (and set to each group)

problem is, when you remove it, we cannot troubleshoot to see what might be going wrong... did you inspect the html when it was there? its possible there is a permission issue on the storage location and the image just cannot show - what I was hoping to look at... getting late now with early morning work... but if you put it back, one of us can look...

I am using unified. I will put it there. I will set the image directories to 666 or 777 in cpanel.

The directories are all writeable and the code is in the template in the correct place. You can double check me but I believe it should be working.

image directories? 0777 is not needed... and it would be the badges directory, ie wp-content/sp-resources/forum-badges... but more worried about the uid/gid (ownership) vice permissions... but having the membership stuff showing up will help...
