What's really odd is that I can't understand why there would be any difference between Forum View and Topic View however,while in Topic View, the toolset button works!
I've gone into WP to see if there were any page specific settings (http://goo.gl/UIKSy you must be logged in) that maybe causal...nothing.
Also, there are no additional scripts in the header Thesis>>Design Options and Thesis>>Site Options.
Lastly, I tried removing all custom functions I put in the theme...still no joy.

we both looked over the weekend and are mystified as to the issue...
the link and everything is identical to the forum tool on topic view... I see no real differences in items loaded... what was odd is the response of the button... it disappears for second when it normally wouldnt... its almost as if some other listener has attached something to it... but cannot find evidence of that...
out of curiosity, have you tried another browser?
and another odd test, but what if you change the page slug of the wp page to forums vice forum, just as a test... any difference?

Its getting a bit frustrating. After changing the "wp page" slug, Simple-Press seems to hang on to the old slug.
At this point, I've deleted all forums.

Ah - Steve should have added that an update to the forum permalink would be required after changing the slug. Still - deleting all of your forums seems somewhat drastic.
