Hi,
Somethime, some topics contains " \\\' " instead of 'simple quote', and basic formatting doesn't work, but not for all. It's the default Editor(no plugin).
I dont understand why, some idea ?

going to need more info to have anything to go on....
have added any of our editor plugins such as tinymce?? what version of sp and any sp editor plugins?
where does this occur for you? title? content? what is an example post you made where it occurred?

I never installed plugin editor,
just Captcha / Private Message System / Template Tags and Widget / and a child of css-only theme.
The SP version is 5.2.6.

Are you using any WordPress plugins that in any way operate on the post content of your posts? perhaps performing some display task or formatting of posts automatically. because that is what this looks like...

I dont think, i havent a script formatting, nor was any encoding problem on the site.
Advanced Excerpt, Captcha, Custom Post Type Page Template, Google XML Sitemaps, Simple:Press,The Future is Now!,WordPress Post Tabs, WP-Polls,WP-PostRatings,WP RSS Aggregator WP RSS Aggregator,Wysija Newsletters.
Before putting a captcha,i had big problems with spam, all messages robots had this problem, but not those of the members.

While I admit none of those look likely candidates it is still the most likely explanation to be honest. Actually, of course, the WP theme itself is another possibility.
Is there any way you could deactivate plugins one at a time just for a quick test (new forum post between each one)? reactivate straight away of course.

After more testing it seems that the bug occurs only for anonymous posts (no registration required), but ok for members and admin.
I got " \' " for " ' ".
I'll try to disable the plugins one by one tonight.
I will also check my theme function.php.

That is kind of bizarre! We make no differentiation on user when formatting and filtering the post content...

you have any wp posts that deal with users/members? remember, they are nor forum or sp users, but are just wp users. and all our content can be affected by any other wp plugin...
