Transfering Groups & Forums from one site to another

Currently have groups and forums defined on one site. Is there a way to transfer these from one site to another? Are there MySQL issues?

keep in mind that simple press is a plugin for WordPress and as such its integrated with data from the WordPress site...  moving just the forum stuff is not necessarily straight forward as we also need data from WP..
