How far have you come up with the freezing of text strings so translations can take place

String freeze occurred yesterday with the 5.0 hitting release candidate... we hope to get the .po files generated today (core, plugins and themes) available starting later today... depends on how busy the support forum is with the RC now there...
likely will start with core... so should be real soon...

Where do these sp-xx.mo and sp-xx.po files go? Because dropping them in /sp-resources/forum-language/simple-press/ makes nothing happen.

I translated a couple of phrases now. 🙂 But why do we have to translate every, single theme? Wouldn't it be more sensible that all themes grab their phrases (language) from another file, which contains all "global phrases"? In this way we just ought to translate one single file which contains all phrases.
