Support Forum
Greetings!
I'm currently using SP version 5.6.4 (because we have not updated to WP 4.5, and likely will not for some time).
I'm not able to edit posts - I am the forum (and site) Admin, and I can see the 'edit post' link both on each post and in the post toolbox, but clicking on it does nothing - I cannot actually edit the post.
When we initially setup our forum, we seeded it with posts using some of our most frequently asked questions, but the content (answers) was ipsum lorem (while we finished the site design). Now that we are getting closer to launch date, I want to go back and put the actual real answers into those posts.
I realize I could just delete those posts and start over but I had a sizable group of family and friends make the intial posts (questions) over a period of several months - I don't want to have to ask them to do that again, unless there is no other alternative.
Is there something I'm missing? Is an admin not allowed to edit posts? If not how do we leave a particular post in while editing out something like curse words or other offensive material?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
Sigh....nevermind, I figured it out <blush>
In case anyone else has this trouble, I'm posting what my problem (and fix) was.....
Initially we set this up on a staging domain, and only recently moved it to the new (permanent) domain that it will be at when we launch soon.
BUT I neglected to update the Forum Permalink in the S:P settings under "Integration" - once I did that I was able to edit posts as I should be able to.
Silly me.
