cForms? That's a surprise. Well - Delicious Days use Simple:Press so we will need to have a chat with Oliver.

There must be at least one more plugin that is causing the problem because disabling my WP-Polls didn't solve it. I re-enabled WP-Polls and disabled tinymce again.

We have a couple of reports of cForms also causing a problem. Do not know if you are using that...

There are also some notes in the WP post regarding items that have been found (see the REPORTED OOPSIES section)... Anything there?

I had the same issue (unable to add a topic or reply, as the content window was "locked") and was able to resolve in the same fashion -- making the "Editor TinyMCE Rich Text" plugin inactive.  That's a good enough fix for me, for now :)

I can't speak for any of these other than having multiple reports now that wp-polls needs an update.

As Steve said last night - we are happy to take a look at your site but it would need to be with the timyMCE plugin active.

what about the rest of your plugins?  have you tried with them disabled?

if that doesnt help, try a temp switch to the wp default theme too and see if any better...

just temp switches to collect more data...

I dont suppose you are running the wp 3.9 version yet and our 5.4.2?  both were release today and wp completely redid and replace tinymce so might be worth a try too...

We are updated to WP 3.9 and S:P 5.4.2 and the issue still persists, unfortunately.

I also disabled all S:P plugins except for the TinyMCE plugin, and did not see any improvement. I've also checked the forum with my theme disabled (and running the default WP 2014 theme), but that did not provide any improvement, either. I will check on my other WP plugins as soon as I am able.

In the meantime, you are welcome to log in to the forum using the account info I sent by PM the other day to see if there is anything you can discern from the inside.

Thank you.

okay, so far, every one has been resolved down to a wp plugin (the list wp has is growing daily or hourly)...  not sure most plugin authors were expecting this...  please let us know what happens with no other plugins active...

I rather not activate the plugin until it works. The forum will be unusable for that period. I PM'd you the admin login informaion in case you would like to trouble shoot it but I think the upcoming updates will solve the problem. I might disable plugins one by one later tonight if I can stay up that late. We have around 2000 unique visitors daily to the site and I would prefer not mess with it while there is heavy traffic.

Thanks

I believe in another topic or pm, I asked if you were okay with us deactivating plugins (or could be different user)...  it will be disruptive to your site...

but so far, every issue with the tinymce editor has come down to a wp plugin issue...

if being selective, start with ones that might add buttons to wp editor.. or had gallery lightbox stuff...
