I have downloaded and installed the latest version and created a group, a forum and 2 topics.

I wanted to change both the description and the message for the Group. I use the edit group feature, change the text and the click on Update group, but the changes are not saved. I have repeated this several times to make sure it isn't happening.

Any ideas.

are you completely filling out the form?? the default usergroup permissions at the bottom are required (though we have removed that requirement in next version)...

I had selected permissions for the 3 default levels but an additional level was added and no permissions selected.

Hopefully that means you are good now.

As Steve pointed out - we are changing this behaviour in 5.2. The permissions set at Group level are simply defaults to be inherited by any forums defined within them.
