Hi

On this page http://www.electricsense.com/f.....ney-intro/ the moderator has made a duplicate post, which I would like to delete - when I click delete it asks me to confirm but then when a re-view the page the post is still there?

Thanks

Are you using any WP cache plugins?

have you told it not to cache the wp page the forum is on? in the exclusions?  you cannot cache the forum as its dynamic data on a single wp page...

I thought I had but I'm not sure how to do this - I can't see how to exclude it in the WP super cache settings, do you know how I can do this?

thanks

In the advanced tab there is a section named 'Accepted Filenames & Rejected URIs'. if thart section has nothing there then click on the title to open it up. Below the first set f options is an input box that starts with the label 'Add here strings (not a filename) that forces a page not to be cached.'.

That is where you put the slug (so if using the default slug I would try a string of /forum/ and see if that does the trick. You will need to empty the current cache contents to try it of course.

Thanks a lot for your instructions on this, Ive found where I need to put the slug. I'm not sure what you mean by slug exactly, the url of my forum is http://www.electricsense.com/forum/, is this what I need to insert?

When you say empty the cache do you mean "delete cache"?

So as I said in post 6 above - try the slug part;

/forum/

and yes - the delete cache is what you need. It just deletes the current cached files - they will get rebuilt.

I've done all this and gone through to look for the duplicate posts, I can't see them anymore...so I guess it must have worked.

Thanks!

Sounds good. Come on back if it goes wonky again!
