Can you setup WishList so you could have 2 directories of your site?
Example:
Landing Page http://internetmarketing.com
Members site: http://internetmarketing.com/members
not sure I understand your question... understand the concept of landing page and membership site... but isnt what you called just a regular website page?
but yes, you can have a members only section of your site controlled by wishlist member... and the forum can be in the members only section or outside it...

No No No...
I'm saying I have two different themes installed in two different directories of the same domain.
Basically when you go into your cPanel> Fantastica/Wordpress Install, It will give you the option to install Wordpress in a separate directory of your main site. It's basically like an apartment building with multiple levels.
The reason I wanted to setup my site this way, is because when you have a home page that acts as a landing page that is met to convince visitors to buy the product. What happens is, you will send hundreds of visitors to your home page when you launch a product and when you have a membership site setup in the same directory as your home page/ landing page, it makes your site run slow for the members and potentially hurts your sales as well.
I just wanted to have the membership site separate from the main site/ sales funnel so visitors wouldn't get distracted by all the menu tabs and try to click on content they don't have access to, until after they sign-up. And like I said above, it keeps your sites running smoother this way and you will make more sales because visitors aren't looking around, they are focusing in on the content on the page, oppose to all the menu items.
MemberPress does not work well with different directories of the same site.
Was wondering if WLM did...
I will need to get Steve to answer the WishList questions (if he knows) although you might be best asking the WishList team some of the more complex stuff.
From my own personal view this seems like a real complicated way to solve what sounds like a simple problem and if it is traffic you are primarily worried about then splitting like this will make no difference really - the server will still be hit by the same number of requests.

wishlist can work across domains (2 sites) but not directly.. they have an api that you can use and code to which is what we have done (mentioned earlier some custom code)...
but I am with Andy... dont see how your idea helps performance... unless the two domains (directories as you called them) are on different servers... otherwise the same server is banged just as much.. in fact, its probably getting banged harder because you have to installs of wp which will be increased overhead...

That's a good points, all of the above…
You're probably right! I've really never looked at it that way.
I guess the thing that bothered me the most is the menu tabs.
I know for a fact that will hurt conversions when I launch this product.
Maybe i'll ask the theme owner to add that feature.
okay... let us know how you make out...
