Support Forum
Hi All-
Just installed SimplePress 5.2.6 not long ago, and users are experiencing the inability to add links in their post content. Links won't work whether they copy/paste a link into the editor OR if they use the link tool to create a link out of their text.
ERROR MESSAGE =
Unable to save
You are not allowed to put links in post content
Anyone else ever had this problem? Our admins are able to post links with no problem.
TIA!
Keira
have you given users permission to use links ('can create links in posts')?
or on forum - options - content settings, how many links are you allowing in a post?

Can you point us to where the permission "Can create links in post" is found.
I don't see it listed as an option here http://wiki.simple-press.com/a.....rmissions/
forum admin > Permissions > Manage Permission Sets.
You have allowed links in the forum posts but the permissions determine which sets of users can actually do so. That way you can - for example - allow members to put links in posts but non-registered uses can be denied that ability. Etc.

so please go to forum - permissions - add new authorization...
and enter these values:
name: create_links
description: Can create links in posts
activate: checked
ignored for guests: not checked
enabling: not checked
that should get it added and then you can set it as desired for you various permission sets...
