There appears to be a problem with regular users unable to see the subscribe button (heart with +) on a forum with locked topics in it. Not sure if this is by design, a config issue or a bug but I need it 
All other forums with unlocked topics appear to be unaffected and also admins can view it. I checked the permissions and they all seem to be ok and as I said they are ok for other forums with regular topics in there - any ideas ?

why would you need to subscribe to a locked topic??? there wont be any posts to it so nothing to subscribe to?

Not all topics in the forum are locked though but still can't subscribe at the top level, the option is missing..however I locked the thread but still update it myself on a regular basis, just don't want others to be able to comment on it. I guess rather than 'locking' I should look at 'permissioning' to only allow admins to post but thought I should raise it anyway.

okay, you said the forum was locked... its it? or do you mean that some topics in the forum are locked? and you want them to subscribe to a locked topic? there shouldnt be any stopping at the forum level unless the entire forum is locked... but yes, if a topic (or forum) is locked, you wont be able to subscribe to the topic (or forum)...
so a bit confused as to exact circumstance here...
are you saying the forum is not locked... but individual topics may be locked... but that no one can subscribe at the forum level? even admins?

Sorry, this was my bad - I actually had that individual forum 'permissions' set to Read Only rather than Standard Access for users. I didn't realise this meant that people would not be able to subscribe to the entire forum. Apologies for taking up your time.
