Patti, looking at your images, it appears you uploaded the zip files... you need to extract them on your computer before uploading...

HURRAY! we have success!
Here is what occurred.
I had unzipped the files to my computer. My computer then had folders with the same long name as the zip file. Within each of these folders was the short name folder. I was totally missing that and had uploaded the wrong folders.
For instance:
zip folder sp-plugin-admin-bar-1.0.12
Unzipped Folder sp-plugin-admin-bar-1.0.12
Folder to be uploaded to server within the above folder admin-bar
And there you have it.

not sure why your zip extractor creates the extra directory? setting? it doesnt exist in the zip archive itself.
