I'm attempting to upgrade from 4.5.1 to version 5.0. I'm already running WordPress 3.3.1. I deactivated the plugin, then removed the folder, then uploaded the 5.0 files and hit activate and got the message below. I followed the steps outlined here.
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function sp_construct_database_error() in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/me/public_html/mysite/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-wpdb.php on line 193
[Update] Guess I need to fix this issue first ..
frankly, unsure how one gets this error... especially since its not been happening to anyone else... must be some unique sequence...
can you provide more info as to where and when you see it? and see if any more info on the forum - toolbox - error log panel..

Magically fixed itself this morning .. hate that, lol. Because I don't know what happened. Anyway, I managed to upgrade to 5.0 just fine. I'll tinker with it more today.
okay cool. thanks for the update. let us know if it reoccurs...
