Hi there, I have just set up my first forum.

I have a few users that have joined and wanted to update their profile information - passwords, name etc. However the "Update Profile" button on the forum does nothing. There are no messages displayed to confirm that the update has been compelted - and indeed no new information is saved.

Is there a setting that I have missed somewhere? If you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Many thanks

Tanya.

Can you do this please: Use Firefox and open the Error Console (usually on the Tools menu). Clear it's contents.
Go to your profile form, make a change and click on the save. Then look at the console (ERRORS tab only please) to see if anything is reported and if yes copy and paste it here for us to look at.

By the way - your forum editor is missing as well. This may be because CKEditor is also being loaded and they may be clashing, Can you turn CKEditor off for the forum page?

Thank you Yellow Swordfish!

I was unable to locate the Error Console on the Tools menu? However, de-activating the CK Editor seemed to fix the problem with the "update profile" button.

Is there a way to de-activate the CKEditor only for the Forum?

Do I need to do anything in order refresh the forum to get back the forum editor.

Many thanks in advance!

Tan.

if you can find where the CKeditor loads is stuff, you can put a check in there for not on a forum page...

if (!sp_is_forumpage()) # load it
