for pre wp 3.5, storage for any site in multisite is wp-content/blogs/dir/files/xxx…

Only for certain files though, as you mentioned before, like the cache. At least that’s how things are apparently set up and working on our live site.

And, just to confirm…you don’t expect I’ll encounter this same issue with tripawds .com? (I know, i know…trepidations.)

when determining the base storage location, had to see what version of sp was initially installed for multisite…

No, dont expect any issue… pre wp 3.5 install…  that said, we will be pushing out version this week, so you might as well wait…

No, missing a version is fine…  the upgrade script brings you from whatever version you are coming from…

v.5.6 & Reboot update successful!

At first I encountered the exact same issue with the wonky display, even though Storage Locations did not get updated. But once I reset the both the style a script cache, everything loaded as expected, and appears to be in working order.
