I've imported my bbpress forums, topics, and replies -- and noticed that the forums etc that were marked private in bbpress never made it through. So is it possible to just import what wasn't imported the first time? Or will I need to delete everything and start all over? And if I need to delete everything, how do I do that? From the database?
I'd like to spend some time seeing how everything works and setting it all up, so I know that when I've gotten it to the way I want it, there will be a bunch more posts to move over. Will I have to delete all the posts and reimport or can I just import and the program knows not to duplicate stuff that's already in the database?

I am afraid I must admit that our importer is quite primitive and requires totally empty SP tables to function. No way around that I am afraid, without a lot of redesigning and recoding.
To remove everything from SP you are best off to use the uninstall. Forum admin > toolbox > uninstall. Turn it on and when you deactivate it will clear out and remove all of the SP created db tables. Then simply re-install it.
I have to add that I have never used bbPress and the importer was totally based upon databases supplied by users. Clearly none of these had 'private' forums so I have no idea how they are marked as such and why they did not become part of the imported data. But I do apologise that they did not.

Thanks for the reply. It helps a lot. It doesn't surprise me that the private topics didn't import but that's not a problem as I'll just make them public before I import again. It's good to know that there is a relatively easy way to delete and then import again.
