I tried to Upgrade Simple:Press From Version 5.1.4 to 5.2 - (Build 9150 to Build 9495) and received this error.

"Upgrade Aborted
at build section: 9150
9175"

It just stays there afterwards. How can I fix this?

When others have had this happen it usually come down to script problems - a conflict of some sort - even though we are in the admin side of things where you wouldn't expect it to be the case. is there any chance you can perhaps briefly deactivate any other plugins that may have admin-side scripts loaded which may then allow the upgrade to finish.

Of course - if there is such a conflict the best course is to resolve it so if you know how to check for errors using Firebug or a script console even better.

anything in the console of the browser?  ie errors...

if you want to create us a temp wp admin account with sp admin caps, we can take a closer look... if that works, pm the credentials to yellow swordfish, mr papa and brandonc with a link to this topic so we know what it pertains too...

Dustin, just to be sure, do you know this guy or site:

https://simple-press.com/suppo.....rade-error

His site and your site are throwing the same error conditions... or to be more exact something on the server called attracta is corrupting our ajax response and inserting a bunch of garbage into the response.. its causing errors for our upgrade code...

can you disable this attracta stuff so the upgrade can run?  and why is it corrupting all ajax responses?

in the meantime, will have to huddle around and see if there is a way we can deal with these erroneous responses...
