Upgrade Aborted Message when going from 9610 to 9876

I upgraded the plugin code, and then clicked "Perform Upgrade" to update the database.  The page says:

"Upgrade Simple:Press From Version 5.2.2 to 5.2.5 - (Build 9610 to Build 9876)"

 

After I click Perform Upgrade, I get the upgrade in progress message, which very quickly turns the screen red with a message: "Upgrade Aborted
current build: 9610"

Uggg - I totally forgot to try this.  Disabled all plugins and upgraded fine.

Great that you got through it OK. Worrying about whatever plugin and conflict caused the issue in the first place. Might be useful to know one day... perhaps deactivate them one at time to isolate the issue...
But glad you are back on the road.
