Hi - I just completed an upgrade from 5.1.4 - 5.2.2 on a Wordpress 3.5 Multisite.  I have attached a screen shot of how the forum appears and the full environment screen shot.  The following information is provided for troubleshooting:

1.  I did the update manually as the auto-update did not work (takes me to network home plugins update each time with no upgrade option - upgrade option only appears in plugins directory for the specific site using it).  I removed the old 5.1.4 plugin and replaced with 5.2.2.

2.  I went to the particular site using simple press - and ran the upgrade from the menu (successful).

3.  I went to the site and get the view shown (screen shot) - there is a small spinning wheel shown.  All of the data appears correctly - but does not get rendered in the theme.

4.  There are no errors shown in simple press admin console or Apache web logs -

5.  I downloaded the latest default them and replaced the existing - same issue.

6.  I restarted Apache - same issue.

7.  The site leverages Elegant Themes Aggregate Theme with a few minor font changes only.

Update:  I just tried a suggestion from another post - disabled the CSS/JS Combined Caching and this seems to have resolved the issue.  Is this related to a bug and would I take a performance hit by not having this enabled?

I dont see a screenshot...

multisite network upgrade was corrected in 5.2.2 so should work for future upgrades...

No, not related to a bug - more of a server limitation...  at least before 5.2.2...

but still not sure I understand the issue you are having now...  yes, there is a slight performance hit if you are serving all the js and css files individually vs two combined/cached files...  in multisite, each network site gets its own combined cached file... stored in the network site files storage location... its possible in you need to clear out the combined cache for each network site and let it start over... you can do this in forum - toolbox - housekeeping...

I refined the issue a little further - it happens with the following option enabled:

- Enable combining and caching of forum CSS files

I did clear the cache through the tools as recommended but did not resolve the issue.  I attached a screen shot of how the UI renders with the option selected.

and this is 5.2.2??  if so, it means your host is not letting us do php parsing of css files... you will need to go without the combining/caching or just go with a css only type file...

though I guess there is potentially a multisite issue since we have far, far fewer multisite users than standard wp...

can you look in your page source and see the location of the combined css file its trying to pull from?  does it exist on your server at that location?
