Thanks for the reply, Mr Papa.

Believe me, if i had a choice we would not have moved hosting. I checked our previous host, and you're right: wp_sfoptions does exist.

I checked for errors while trying to update, and no errors were thrown. I had firebug's error console up.

I've responded to my host with the revised table name, we'll see if that works.

What version were you on? Build and version have been stored in there for some time. Without them, not sure how we would even tell you an update was available.

So in firebug console, you should have seen some Ajax status lines show up after hitting upgrade. Can you expand the last one and see the response?

I was on 5.1.3. My host finally found the table and rows and made those edits in post 6 of this thread. My forum is now responsive again and I can get back to working. I haven't launched the forum yet so there's only like 10 or so posts.

Sorry i wasn't able to get the firebug ajax bugs, it was my first time using it and apparently didn't know where to look. Next time i run into problems, i'll try to expand the ajax status line and give you some useful information to help me with.

Cheers!

Perhaps related to this or then not: in sp-site-support-functions.php line 136 there is

$current_version = $log[0]->version;

Should this be

$current_version = $log[0]['version'];

?

(don't know about this myself, but got this report from our theme developer).

Oooh - good catch. Yes that is indeed wrong.

Thanks very much for that. I will get it corrected for the next update
